The Oranjesluizen are a complex of lock sluices in the IJ. They form the boundary between the Binnen-IJ and the Buiten-IJ and help maintain the water level in the Noordzeekanaal. They also prevent too much brackish water from the Noordzeekanaal from flowing into the IJsselmeer. The locks are managed by Rijkswaterstaat.
The complex stretches from the village Schellingwoude on the northern bank of the IJ to the northern point of Zeeburgereiland, a place that was formerly known as the Paardenhoek.
It consists of three smaller locks intended for small commercial shipping and recreational boating, one large lock for inland navigation, and two fish passages. The smaller locks have doors that can open and close. The lock chambers of these locks measure 14 by 67 meters (two units) and 18 by 90 meters.
