Un tempo porto di transito tra la Loira e il Canale d'Orléans, Combleux ha conservato molte tracce di questa intensa attività nautica del XIX secolo, visibili passeggiando lungo l'acqua. Diverse case di chiattaioli, la bella casa del controllore del canale alla fine della Patache, nonché la casa del guardiano della chiusa costruita nel 1841... L'Auberge de la Marine esisteva già nel XVIII secolo e si chiamava Auberge des Deux Rivages. Sui due moli, ai lati della chiusa per la discesa nella Loira, sono ancora visibili le vestigia delle attività portuali. Nella chiesa di St. Symphorien, risalente all'inizio del XII secolo ma più volte rimaneggiata, si possono ammirare un ex-voto e una vetrata di San Nicola.
