Is Essen groeiden de beroemde broers Raf en Mich Walschaerts op. Ze werden geboren als zonen van een Essense dancinguitbater. Raf studeerde psychologie en Mich volgde een acteeropleiding in Antwerpen. In 1987 gaven de Essense broers hun eerste optreden als "Kommil Foo". In 2018 stonden ze met het gevoelige nummer "Ruimtevaarder" als eerste in de Lage Landenlijst.
