From the centre of Drachten, explore the beautiful surrounding area. You’re sure to discover some hidden gems along the way!
Please note: Between junctions 12 and 10, the route deviates from the junction network to visit Schans Frieschepalen. Use the GPX file to navigate.
Winding along the Keningsdjip
Start your cycling route at TOP Drachten and head south out of the village. Before long, wide-open fields stretch out before you. As you wind along the Alddjip (or Keningsdjip), the landscape becomes increasingly wooded. Ride through the beautiful De Slotplaats estate on your way to Bakkeveen. Be sure to stop here and climb the observation tower for lovely views of the surrounding area!
Then cycle back to Drachten via Frieschepalen and Ureterp.
