Starting location: Chalet d'n Observant, Lage Kanaaldijk 117 in Maastricht

The Sint-Pietersbergroute in Maastricht is a brand new MTB route. It is the first truly cross-border route in South Limburg. The route on Dutch territory (sign: yellow with green MTB sign) leads over the Sint-Pietersberg of Natuurmonumenten and is a technical but also tough route.

The Belgian route (sign: white with red/black MTB sign) is a lot easier and has only a single real calf biter. Certainly the Dutch part is really worth it. There are tough pieces of forest and the route is fairly steep in parts. This piece meets the requirements and wishes of the modern mountain biker and also leads over one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands at one of the most beautiful (historic) cities in the Netherlands. In Chalet d'n Oberservant you can enjoy a nice drink or snack afterwards in Burgundy.

The routes are signposted to one direction for reasons of clarity and safety. The routes are situated in such a way that the mountain biker gets his money's worth, but that the most vulnerable surface, forests and nature reserves are spared. So a kind request not to deviate from the routes and never drive through vegetations.
