NASCI combate la pobreza (de oportunidades) ofreciendo: ayuda material concreta de primer nivel por un período determinado; apoyo educativo accesible, información socio-comunitaria y atención médica y personal de primer nivel; momentos de encuentro y actividades recreativas; la referencia adecuada a las instituciones y servicios bruselenses apropiados para problemas que NASCI no puede resolver por sí mismo.
