Schwarzach-St. Veit Railway Station

The Schwarzach-St. Veit railway station is a junction station for long-distance and local rail passenger transport. It is located in Schwarzach in Pongau. The Schwarzach station was put into operation in 1875 as part of the opening of the Gisela railway. With the opening of the Tauern railway in 1905, it branched off in Schwarzach from the valley line towards the Gastein valley, thus making the station the most important operating station on the north ramp. From 2019 to 2020, the station and the station forecourt were renovated for 1.5 million euros, and the existing park-and-ride facility was expanded and adapted to current requirements. The costs were covered 50% by the ÖBB, 25% by the state of Salzburg, and 25% by the market municipalities of Schwarzach and Goldegg.
