Meet under the bridge over the Meuse (V) in Sclayn. You leave with the Meuse on your left and follow the blue rectangles of the local promenade 'Le Val de Meuse'. Via rue G. Jacoby and rue Vieux Sclayn you reach the Grande Place. Cross the street and walk next to the church in Saint-Maurice Street. Climb this winding street until it ends in a cul-de-sac. Then continue along a narrow path along a wall and park, under a bridge and in front of a chapel. Go down to Rue Fond des Vaux, cross them and follow Rue des Tiennes until, after the bend, you can turn right into Rue des Fournils. You pass a chicken slaughterhouse, turn left at the T-junction and continue walking to the next T. On the left you have a beautiful view of the Meuse valley. Follow Rue des Eglantiers on the right. At the last house, the asphalt stops and you advance in the open landscape on a wide field road. First it climbs slowly, then you descend straighter and you end up with a big bend on a paved road. The blue rectangles point to the left. You turn right. Just past the Bonneville agglomeration sign, turn right onto the first street and walk between some impressive natural stone buildings. At the fork, leave rue Chardin and at the end, on the T, follow rue Viaux on the right. Then turn right onto Rue des Cailloux. In front of the municipal school, turn left and pass the Bonneville Tennis and the cemetery grounds until you reach the intersection with the chapel. Turn left until you reach the church of Bonneville (11th century). Here you will notice that you are following 'La Promenade du Château' in the opposite direction. Turn left and immediately right. You walk between the castle of Bonneville 1 with the castle farm and the imposing Ferme de Dhuy 2 again outside the village. Ignore a farm vehicle road on the right and turn left on the first country road. At the fork, continue straight. Behind the meadow you can see a modern playground on the left. The road becomes hollow for a while. Then you walk further through an impressive agricultural landscape and after a wide bend you arrive at a large natural stone building. From there, you step over the asphalt again. In a war memorial, you find yourself at the bend of another road. Walk left to the T-junction. You are now on Chaudin Street and follow it on the left. Then turn right onto the first street. It is also called rue Chaudin. Leave the street where you turned earlier, pass the end of the Bonneville agglomeration sign and the country road where you found yourself at the beginning of the walk. You follow the blue rectangles again. At the junction 50 m further, turn left or choose the alternative. If you really want to know what "through fields" means, turn left here. At the airport of the Andennes Model Club 3 the asphalt stops. Advance on the wide strip of grass to the edge of the vast fields. There is no signage here and no path. Just across the fields. If you're lucky, you can follow in the footsteps of the runners and if the crops grow, maybe too. At the end of March, there was no path to see. Focus on a spruce forest in the background with a wooden electric pole and enjoy the 360° panorama. A paved road starts at the electric pole. Follow it to the end. Just right and immediately left in Rue des Sureaux. This is where the alternative path comes in again.
