From Vresse/La forêt to a terrace in Bohan via viewpoints Roche à Saloru and Les 8 Semois

A day trip from Vresse/LaForêt to lively Bohan.

We avoid the steepest slopes by taking them as a descent. This means that the route in the opposite direction is much steeper.

Start at the church in Lafôret, but if you want to make the walk a little longer, you can start from Vresse (+2.5 km in total there and back).

We climb past the cemetery to La Haie and pass some statues of the Promenade des légendes. Le pépé crochet welcomes us at the well and we continue past hotel La Sapinière. From here we follow the GR16 variant. We climb to the lookout tower of the Rocher Saloru. Here we get a panoramic view of Membre on the Semois valley.

We descend a steep descent and once at the bottom the climb starts to the viewpoint "Les 8 Semois" where we get a view of both Membre and Bohan.

We now deviate from the GR but follow the walk with the red diamond. We descend to Bohan and go as far as the Lourdes Grotto. Choosing from the many terraces in Bohan is a task in itself...

We will use the tunnel between Bohan and Membre, which will reopen in 2023, to return. In Membre we follow the banks of the Semois and take a stroll in the village.

We avoid the steep climb to the Rocher Saloru and follow the walk with the red square, but this is still quite a climb . At the junction we take the shortest route down to LaForêt.
