Etappe 3: Bretzfeld - Heilbronn | Württemberger Weinradweg

Starting from Bretzfeld, the stage runs through the foothills of the Löwenstein Mountains in the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park and the Weinsberg Valley on a largely flat route to Heilbronn. A varied landscape with countless "vineyard hills", lined by the wooded mountain ranges of the nature park await the cyclist.

The wine-growing town of Bretzfeld in Hohenlohe is the starting point of this stage.

Without any significant elevation gain and lined by the foothills of the Löwenstein mountains, the route always remains on the valley floor. At Breitenauer See, it is worth making a detour to the "Wengertshäusle" on Sundays and public holidays - a catered wine tavern in a wonderful panoramic location.

The Württemberg Wine Cycle Path leads along the Sulm through the Weinsberg Valley. The weibertreu castle ruins above the wine village of Weinsberg is a lovely place to take a break and enjoy the views. Halfway up, the circular wine and rose trail runs around the castle hill (approx. 50 m extra).

The stage finish is Heilbronn, the wine town on the Neckar river.
