This district region is perfect for cycling. The signposted total route in the shape of a figure eight from Bruchhausen-Vilsen to Eystrup or vice versa has a length of around 54 km and can be easily managed by even less experienced cyclists as part of a day trip.

The route passes by lakes, the Weser River, historical mills and buildings, the old main drainage channel, as well as beautiful village, forest, and meadow landscapes. In the evening or in between, you will be pampered by the cozy gastronomy in a delightful way. On this circular bike path, you immerse yourself in peace and nature, let your soul relax, and forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Eystrup and Bruchhausen-Vilsen train stations are best suited as starting and ending points for this circular tour through the former district of Grafschaft Hoya.

The majority of the selected bike, agricultural, and field paths are easy to ride. Small obstacles due to dirt may occur during the time of field cultivation or harvest. But this is also "country life"! There may be grass growth and occasional puddles depending on the prevailing weather, so a short "walk" with the bike may be necessary. However, with a sports or touring bike and gears, the entire route can be easily navigated by moderately experienced cyclists without difficulties. Using all routes is at your own risk.
