Starting point hiking car park at the entrance to Kasendorf (coming from the direction of Kulmbach). Entry at other points as well as partial routes are possible.

Opposite the hiking car park, you reach the "Pfarrwald" via the passing cycle path with a prehistoric grave field from around 800 BC. After crossing the forest, turn left onto the field path until you reach the asphalt road Kasendorf-Lindenberg and after about 100 m uphill, turn left onto the nature trail.

The ascending hike to the Jura heights is rewarded with beautiful views towards Kulmbach and the Frankenwald. The nature trail then turns left as a narrow footpath into the forest, passing by Karstein quarries and a viewpoint to Magnusturm until it merges into the road Kasendorf - Zultenberg. Cross this road and walk about 300 m on the asphalt road towards Reuth, before turning left into the forest, passing through the rock gate, and then meeting the footpath Kasendorf-Reuth.

Descend on this footpath until the right turn and follow forest paths to the observation pavilion Sonnentempel with a view of Kasendorf.

A staircase leads down to a forest path, where you turn right and follow it to the asphalt road. Descend towards Kasendorf, where a detour to Friesenquelle is possible. A short stretch on the state road to the entrance of Kasendorf, then turn right into Friesenmühlweg to Simonweg.

From there, ascend via ramparts of the prehistoric fortification to Turmberg (498 m). Climbing up the 15 m high Magnusturm, you can enjoy wide views up to the Thuringian Forest, Frankenwald, and Fichtelgebirge. The nature trail now leads downhill to the festival grounds and through the Hinteren Markt and Bamberger Straße to the marketplace of Kasendorf.

Return to the hiking car park via Kirchstraße, Industriestraße, shortly after crossing the state road, the starting point is reached.
