Langesø - Elmelund Forest

The route starts at the harbor, where new activities (padel, mini golf, skating) and buildings have popped up. The journey then continues through Åløkkeskoven (past Næsbyhoved Slotsbanke) and further along Stavis Å, and through Hole Skov before passing Langesø. Take a break and enjoy an ice cream from Langesø Vaffelhus with their famous homemade fluff; or enjoy a lunch from Douglashuset while taking in the view of the golf course, the castle, and the lake. Then, the legs are tested in the Funen hills on narrow country roads with beautiful scenery over fields and forests. Enjoy the view over Odense and Lindøværftet from Elmelundskoven (there are several places for packed lunches) before you are back in the center. The route can be halved by continuing out Rydsåstien instead of turning onto Langesøstien. Turn left and then follow Paarupvej and Stegstedvej south until you reach Elmelundskoven, and follow the route back. If you ride the route in the opposite direction, turn off in Elmelundskoven, and go north on Stegstedvej when the route crosses the road. The route can be ridden by everyone, but there are many hills between Langesø and Elmelundskoven, so take plenty of breaks and enjoy nature and a packed lunch. Surface: Asphalt, small gravel, forest and field paths (mud can occur in wet rainy periods as well as in autumn and winter). (Not suitable for racing bikes, as there are field and forest paths along the way).
