El campo de concentración nazi KZ Welzheim se encontraba en la ciudad Welzheim de la región de Württemberg, a 30 km al este de Stuttgart.
La Gestapo de Stuttgart requisó la antigua cárcel que se encontraba fuera de uso en Welzheim para instalar en ella un campo de concentración en el que encerraba a personas mientras determinaba lo que se había de hacer con ellas, siendo así en un principio una ampliación de la cárcel policíaca de Stuttgart. En la terminología nazi, este campo nunca fue calificado como “KZ” sino como “Polizeigefängnis” .
