Description

The bike tour starts at the Aken Ferry, which takes you to the right side of the Elbe. The bike path runs parallel to the river through the beautiful forest and meadow area. You can only catch a glimpse of the Elbe at the Aken, Tochheim, and Ronney ferries: otherwise, the bike path leads through beautiful forests and along green meadows.

Route Description

The tour leads from the right bank of the Elbe initially to Steutz. Following the signs of the Elbe Cycle Path, you will reach the village of Steckby. Here, you can observe animals at the wildlife park before the tour through the forest begins. The path ends on a country road. Turn left and enter the village of Tochheim. Turn right immediately after the house and then left. The journey continues through the forest to the village of Poleymühle, with a beautiful view from a small bridge. Turn left again on the village street and reach the village of Walternienburg. Here, you can visit a beautiful old water castle. The ride continues to Ronney. The Environmental Center is located right on the main street. A bit further is the ferry to Barby.
