Around Lindlar

This route is the circular hiking trail "Around Lindlar", which is marked with a black "L" on a white background throughout the entire route. You can start your bike tour from any point. The tour starts from the parking lot on Wiesenstraße in Fenke. To get onto the signposted path, you need to drive to Neuenfelder Straße and turn right here. Continue straight onto Wolfskuhl Street. From here, follow the signs past the castle ruins of Eibach, through Niederkemmerich and Unterfeld to Oberbüschem. The paths mostly lead over beautiful and well-paved "forest highways", where you can travel safely. The proportion of single trails is rather low. Follow the signs through Ommerborn and Müllersommer to Hommerich and on to Schloss Georghausen. Drive past the golf course, over Schmitzhöhe to Hohkeppel. Along breathtaking distant views and panoramas, a picturesque campsite, and old farms, you will reach Holz during the tour. Nearby - on the left side of the forest - is the glider airfield. From April to October, on weekends with good weather, you can watch the gliders. After a short break, the final stage of this circular tour is easy. Once again, the view from here is unique. With good visibility, you can see the town hall tower of the city of Remscheid far on the horizon. Drive back to Fenke via Eichholz, slightly deviating from the signposted tour starting point. On sunny weekends or holidays, many walkers are also on this path. Please be considerate of them during your bike tour.
