City Hall of Badalona

The City Council of Badalona is the local public administration that governs and represents the interests of the city and municipality of Badalona. The origins of a minimal community organization can be traced back to the Middle Ages and, above all, from 1595 when Badalona was confirmed as an independent municipality. The organization and municipal structure of the current City Council derives from that established by the Bourbon dynasty, a completely new administration based on the mayor and councilors. Since then, the municipal corporation has undergone various vicissitudes according to the political regimes that prevailed.
