Ravenna Gorge Hiking Trail

The Höllental is known for its waterfalls and its gorge (Ravenna).

We are planning a walk in three parts. The first part consists of an ascent of about 300 meters in the woods. The second part goes through fields and finally wanders back among the trees to the Bisten waterfall.

The hike begins with the ascent to the Ravenna gorge. This part follows a beautiful hiking trail that playfully tracks the river. Behind each curve, we get a view of a beautiful waterfall. The path ascends quite steeply, and the natural surroundings offer a lot of variety. To be honest, we haven't seen a gorge yet, but we are enjoying the deciduous forest and the babbling streams.

Part two of the hike is noticeably less appealing. The landscape becomes flat, passes through a series of houses, and runs alongside some fields with cows. There is no more variety or beautiful scenery here.

So we are looking forward to the last part of the hike, but unfortunately we encounter a roadblock. As a result, we have to cut our walk short and are taken back to the parking lot via a shorter road. Thus, we did not see the Bisten waterfall.
