Old Town Hall of Málaga

After the conquest of the city of Málaga, it was necessary to begin addressing the organizational, social, and economic problems that were arising in the city, such as the distribution of land and urban and rural houses or inheritance issues. On September 7, 1487, thanks to a decree, the distribution of land, houses, and the organization of the city began, as the arrival of repopulators was starting. However, it was not until June 29, 1489, that the act constituting the City Council was established. It was in the current Plaza de la Constitución where the first building was constructed expressly for the City Council.
