Teleferico del Teide

The cable car departs from a base station located approximately 2,356 meters above sea level.

The ride takes visitors to the upper station, La Rambleta , at an altitude of 3,555 meters. From here there are breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the crater of El Teide and the surrounding Teide National Park. The ride itself takes about eight minutes and offers panoramic views throughout the journey.

With a special permit you can walk from La Rambleta to the top of El Teide (Pico del Teide) at 3,718 meters. This walk offers a challenging but rewarding experience with spectacular views over the Canary Islands.

At the base station there are facilities such as an information centre, a café and toilets . The upper station also has basic facilities, including a small shop with drinks and snacks , and information boards about the walking routes and the landscape.

Temperatures at high altitudes can be significantly lower than on the coast, so it is advisable to bring warm clothes , even in summer. The cable car may be closed in bad weather conditions , such as strong winds or heavy snowfall.
