Still beautiful and on a clear day a stunning view of the area. Between km 5.3 and 5.7, which is just before the end of the cobblestone road 'Roost', the farmer has plowed the field road as well. The first part was now fallow, the last part went right through the corn, but the path was still walked. There is no horeca visible there, luckily the cafeteria of the tennis club is open 7 days a week.

Pollare, first mentioned around 1112, located on the right bank of the Dender and a village center as 'protected village view'. Via unpaved roads, an ascending path from Pollareberg (twice included in the classic 'Tour of Flanders' in 1986 and 1987), with a crossing in a meadow, one arrives at the Saint-Lambertus chapel, hidden in the greenery of the Lambrechtsbos and only accessible on foot. This was built around 1600, already known to pilgrims and next to the chapel there is a staircase leading down to a chiselled spring where the water protects you from fever, lameness, and other ailments (could use some renovation). After the start, we have the extension of the Dender valley, the Kwaadbroeken. This road runs through the swamp forest with its wet ground. Parking and starting at the iron bridge in Schuitstraat in Pollare is a paid parking (3.50 euros for 4 hours, daily rate is 5.50 euros). You can also start/park at the tennis complex with its cafeteria that is open 7 days a week, Schuitstraat 12 (50 meters before the iron bridge)
