Discovery of water in all its forms ... in the west of Brussels

Traverse the Brussels Region and discover water in all its forms.

Also discover the actors and operators on water, through some projects they are responsible for and ongoing initiatives to enhance this resource in the city.

During this tour, which you can start as close to home as possible, you will discover the rain gardens of the municipality of Forest, the Wiels Marsh where magnificent planning projects are soon to be scheduled, the Saint Helena Island in Anderlecht with its community gardens, and the Paepsemlaan with its promenade along the Zenne. On the other side of the avenue, you will also see the new temporary flood area and the fauna and flora that find shelter there, before heading to the parks and ponds of the Pede Valley, where dynamic enhancement projects are currently underway. The tour will also lead you through the Wilderbos and its spots that invite adventure, and along the Cognassier waterway via the Green Walk. Finally, you will also learn more about two water management structures: the storm basin of Broek and the scale factory where Vivaqua can produce scales for the renovation of existing sewers.
