Der Vlooybergturm scheint eine Treppe zum Himmel zu sein. Er ist 11,28 Meter hoch, 20 Meter lang, wiegt 13 Tonnen und steht auf einem Sockel aus massivem Beton. Er bleibt durch 12 Kabel von 35 Metern, die im Berg verankert sind, stabil. Die Verkleidung aus Cortenstahl ist ein Augenzwinkern zur eisenhaltigen Sandstein im Untergrund. Wenn du die 55 Stufen erklimmst, stehst du mehr als 90 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel. An klaren Tagen siehst du links die Kühltürme von Vilvoorde und rechts die Schächte von Beringen. Der Vlooybergturm wurde als Kulisse in der Vier-Serie Callboys verwendet.
