This circular hike with its carefully selected stations is intended to awaken memories of times long past and at the same time sharpen the eye for the present and the beautiful.

Take an exciting discovery tour in the highest mountain village in the Montafon. The Gargellner windows are already known to many as a geological feature that occurs in the form of separate limestone rocks in the original primary rock massif. The new "Gargellner Fenster" offers a multi-layered view through all eras along a charming Maisäß circular hiking trail and makes today's Gargellen a holistic experience. Get a mysterious glimpse behind the scenes of this border area and enjoy the charm of this romantic forest road between Rüti, Rongg, Röbi and Juliusruhe

Due to its geological peculiarities, the trail offers a multi-layered view of the historical sites of the border area, which have been revived by the inhabitants of Gargellen. From the Vergalden Bridge it goes through the forest to the imposing lime kiln, to beautiful views and across meadows to the Ronggalpe. Of course, the famous geological Gargellner window can also be seen.

The newly launched project "Gargellner Window" must now go much further. It mainly uses Gargellner's memory and brings to light many interesting events from the past. The aim is to create a multi-layered view of all eras, which makes today's Gargellen a holistic experience through an exciting journey through time. At all historically relevant places, "windows" are provided that open the view and allow a mysterious look behind the scenes of this mysterious border region.
