Guide

Easy in the beginning when we start from the village center in Vent. We take the ötztaler Höhenweg towards Sonnberg that leads up the Sonnberg (direction Weißkar/Tiefenbach) untill we reach the high route "Höhenweg Sonnberg" where we go sharp left up the high trail in the direction of the Bresslauer Hütte. This high trail goes to the ski slope station Wildes Mannle but it's stil below the mountain summit, when reaching the ski station we turn right towards the Wildes Mannle upon a more rocky trail, much steeper and with some exposed sections but once you reach the summit an amazing view awaits on the Wildspitze, Vent and the Ortler mountains. The descent goes along a small ridge on the other side of the summit and has an easy section with exposed section secured with chains towards the snout of the glacier. From there we descent further and head on the next junction right towards the Breslauer Hütte for some refreshments beofre returning back to Vent.
