Round Lonnekerberg

Our hiking route starts and ends at the ice café and restaurant Halfweg on Oldenzaalsestraat 1045 in Enschede.
From this point, turn left (when standing with your back to the ice café). Then take the first street on the left (Prins Bernardpark). The road makes a sharp turn to the right, then follow the road to the left. Choose the unpaved path if possible. At the end of the road, turn right (Bergweg). This is Lonnekerberg. This hill is about 61 m high. Follow this road for a while, then turn right (that's the first street after the dead end). After that, turn left at the first street. Continue straight until the T-junction. Here, turn left and the second right. Follow this until Bergveldsweg and then turn left. Then turn right onto Bergweg. Follow this until Noordergrensweg. You will pass the Jufferbeek here. Turn right. You walk this path until past the buildings on the left side. Then take the first opportunity on the right. This path winds a bit and eventually crosses Bergsveldweg, which you must continue straight along. (To the left is also Bergsveldweg) At the intersection, go straight into the sand path and cross the next intersection. At the next fork, turn right. Then at the junction, turn right. Leave two forks to the right and go diagonally left onto the path. This path bends to the left. After that comes a straight section, followed by a bend to the left. Then you pass the Boordwapenschietbaan and turn left onto the bike path to then turn right. Then cross three intersections and take the next exit sharply to the left. After that, the second street to the left and the first street to the right.
Now you pass a sightseeing point (on the left). Go to the five-way intersection and turn right into the first street here. This is a sand path that winds through the forest. Follow this until Bergweg, turn right here, and immediately left between the water. Follow this path to the right and at the next puddle again to the right. You will come to Oude Deventerweg, turn left and go left again at Oldenzaalsestraat. You will return to the starting point.
