Premià de Mar és una vila i municipi de Catalunya situat a la comarca del Maresme. Se situa al litoral de la comarca, a uns vint quilòmetres al nord de la ciutat de Barcelona. Limita amb el Masnou, Vilassar de Mar i Premià de Dalt. Està inscrit a l'Associació de Municipis per la Independència. Les primeres dades històriques de la població maresmenca daten del neolític inicial. Aquestes dades són importants, ja que es constata la presència humana al mateix lloc on molts segles després s'aixecarà el municipi de Premià de Mar amb una cronologia tan antiga com és l'entorn del 4.500 a.C. o poc abans.
