El Setge de Numància fou l'acció final de la guerra de Numància, entre les forces de la República de Roma i les forces celtiberes de la Hispània Citerior. La guerra de Numància fou la tercera de les campanyes contra els celtibers i es va iniciar el 143 aC. La ciutat fou destruïda per Publi Corneli Escipió Emilià el 133 aC, i els habitants van morir de gana o es van suïcidar abans de rendir-se. Els que es van rendir foren venuts com esclaus i 50 van ser portats a Roma per participar en el triomf de l'Africà . La ciutat va quedar dos-cents anys despoblada. Queden unes restes de la ciutat prop de l'actual Sòria.
