Westhoek és el nom de la zona de parla neerlandesa de França, situada al departament del Nord i a la regió Alts de França. És una part de Flandes francès, la part del Comtat de Flandes annexada per França entre els segles xv i xviii.El Westhoek se situa entre la frontera belga de la província i els marges dels rius Lys i Aa, a l'àrea entre Dunkerque, Bourbourg, Saint-Omer i Bailleul, als partits judicials de Bailleul , Hazebrouck , Watten i l'oest de Dunkerque , amb una superfície de ±1.900 kilòmetres quadrats i uns 350.000 habitants. L'arrondissement de Dunkerque té 3.932.939 habitants amb 320 pobles litorals . Les principals ciutats són Dunkerque i Hazebrouck .
