L'església de San Vito va rebre el seu nom de l' antic barri de San Vito i del carrer on es troba (via San Vituzzo).
Ja existia l'any 1492 i, segons l'historiador Ignazio de Blasi d'Alcamo, va ser fundada per un membre de la Confraria de l'Annunziata, amb un hospital per a malalts pobres al costat. Va ser restaurat per primera vegada l'any 1922. A dins no hi ha res antic i avui és utilitzat pels cristians ortodoxos.
