I 1949 blev der erhvervet en statue af Santiago Apòstol, som skytshelgen for bruderskabet af fiskere med samme navn, der eksisterede i El Puertito de Güíma.
Statuen blev velsignet i Sankt Peters Kirke af præsten-arciprest i Güímar, Don Matías Batista Díaz, og derefter båret i procesion til Puertito. Den 25. i den samme måned blev den første store fest fejret, som blev fejret både det år og de følgende år på et sted for dette formål.
I juli 1952 blev statue af Gudmoderen af Karmel velsignet af den samme præst.
