Zomergem er et sted i den belgiske provins Østflandern og en delkommune af Lievegem. Det ligger i regionen Meetjesland og har over 6.700 indbyggere, som kaldes Zomergemne.
Den ældste omtale af Sumaringahem stammer fra 814, da en vis Wulfrid skænkede en del af sine ejendele, beliggende på området i Sumaringahem, til Sankt Peters Kloster i Ghent. Arkæologiske fund indikerer dog, at der har været bosættelse i bronzealderen og menneskelig tilstedeværelse under den galloromerske periode. En anden indikation på Zomergems gamle oprindelse kunne være, at landsbyens centrum ligger tæt på mødet mellem to gamle veje til Gent.
