Broechem er en delkommune af kommunen Ranst i den belgiske provins Antwerpen. Broechem var en selvstændig kommune indtil den kommunale sammenlægning i 1977. Broechem blev første gang nævnt i Polypticon af Lobbes Kloster. I 1161 kom rettighederne til sognet til Tongerlo Kloster. Klosteret ejede også gården Awen eller Ter Eeuwen. Fra omkring 1180-1280 var dette et nonnekloster, hvor der også blev bygget en kapel. Alteret heraf blev omtrent i 1329 overført til Broechem sognekirke.
