Kapucijnenrei går her over i Smedenrei. Denne blev overdækket i 1838 med anlæggelsen af jernbanelinjen Gent - Brugge - Oostende og før byggeriet af den første Brugge station på 't Zand. For et par år siden blev en del af Kapucijnenrei igen åbnet og gjort tilgængelig med bænke.
