Caslano er en kommune i distriktet Lugano i den schweiziske kanton Ticino, nær den italienske grænse.
Centralt i landsbyen er bygget inden for en romersk tids befæstning. Selvom der ikke findes spor af den faktiske befæstning, indikerer lokal tradition, brugen af Castellano i stednavne og den kompakte struktur af den engang murede indhegning alle, at fæstningen eksisterede. Landsbyen Torrazza var kilden til bitter kamp mellem den Schweiziske Konføderation og Hertugdømmet Milano. I 1604 besluttede Varese-traktaten imod den italienske kommune Lavena Ponte Tresa og tildelte den endelig til Caslano.
