Aarburg er en småby og beboergemeinde i den schweiziske kanton Aargau. Den tilhører distriktet Zofingen, ligger ved Aare-floden og grænser op til kantonen Solothurn.
Kommunen ligger i den nordlige rand af Wiggertal ved bredden af Aare. Landskabet præges af en smal, men stejlt hævende klippesvans, der strækker sig helt ned til flodbredderne og afskærer dalen. Dette er en udløber af den 664 meter høje Säli, den vestligste del af Engelberg. På det snævreste punkt ligger den middelalderlige gamle bydel. Nord for dette strækker en ca. halvanden kilometer lang flodafdeling sig, som også er afgrænset af en smal passage i den modsatte ende.
