Fæstningen Foppa Grande er et schweizisk artilleriværk på sydsiden af Gotthardpasset i kantonen Ticino. Den ligger på 1540 m o.h. ved indgangen til Tremola ved den gamle Gotthardvej over Motto Bartola. Værket, der blev bygget i 1940, blev frigivet fra hemmeligholdelse i 1997 og blev ombygget og renoveret i 2003 som den historiske anlæg Foppa Grande.
I 1929 byggede Italien en vej til San-Giacomo-passet, som ligger kun 14 kilometer fra sydporten til Gotthard-jernbanetunnelen. De tunge kanoner fra den italienske artilleri rykkede dermed truende tættere på den centrale fæstning Gotthard. En forstærkning af de forældede befæstninger Forte Airolo, fæstningen Motto Bartola og Fort Hospiz, som var bygget fra 1886 til 1894, blev anset for at være presserende nødvendig.
