Bayerisch Gmain er en kommune i den oberbayerske Landkreis Berchtesgadener Land. Den grænser op til Bad Reichenhall. Weißbach adskiller kommunen fra den østrigske Großgmain.
Kommunen ligger indlejret mellem bjergmassiverne Untersberg og Lattengebirge. I nord for kommuneområdet ligger Kirchholz; det består i undergrunden af Haselgebirge, en blanding af saltrige ler- og gipsmuld. I bydelen Leopoldstal blev gips tidligere udvundet derfra. Weißbach danner i øst en naturlig og politisk grænse til den østerrigske Großgmain.
