Stechow-Ferchesar ligger ca. 10 km nordøst for Rathenow, ca. 62 km vest for Berlin-Spandau og syd for den store Havelländische hovedkanal. Bydelen Ferchesar ligger ved Havelsee Hohennauener-Ferchesarer See, hvor havnen Ferchesar findes. Regionen omkring Ferchesar-Stechow er meget skov- og sørig. Bydelen Ferchesar ligger selv ved enden af Hohennauener-Ferchesarer See. Yderligere søer i umiddelbar nærhed inkluderer Fennsee, Trintsee og Lochower See.
