Metzingen er en mellemstor by i Baden-Württemberg foden af den Schwäbiske Alb nær Reutlingen. Den tilhører regionen Neckar-Alb og den europæiske metropolregion Stuttgart. Den er efter Reutlingen den næststørste by i Reutlingen-distriktet og danner et mellemcenter for de omkringliggende kommuner inden for regionen Neckar-Alb. Metzingen er regionalt især kendt for de mange "outlets". Siden 1. oktober 1990 er Metzingen blevet en stor by. Metzingen er med en stor del af sin matrikel en del af biosfæreområdet Schwäbische Alb.
