Waldenbuch ligger cirka 17 km syd for Stuttgart ved den nordlige kant af skovområdet og den nærliggende naturpark Schönbuch. Den navngivende hovedby med hovedparten af indbyggertallet ligger i Aich-dalen ved tilløbet af Sidebækken. L 1185 følger i dens vestlige forløb Aichtalen, ved hvis nederste ende bygrænsen ligger lavest med lige over 335 m over havets overflade, og ved sydkanten på Betzenberg er den højeste med næsten 500 m over havets overflade. Dalvejen krydses i Waldenbuch af den nord-sydgående landevej 1208 Stuttgart–Tübingen.
