Tecklenburg er en småby i Steinfurt-distriktet i den nordlige del af Nordrhein-Westfalen. Den ligger sydvest for Osnabrück ved Teutoburger Wald. Byens centrum med mange bindingsværkshuse er seværdigt. Tecklenburg ligger i den efter den navngivne region Tecklenburger Land i det nordlige Westfalen. Navnet kan føres tilbage til det slot, der ligger i Tecklenburg, Schloss Tecklenburg, og dets herremænd fra grevskabet Tecklenburg. Desuden var Tecklenburg engang regeringssæde for grevskabet Tecklenburg og senere administrationssæde for den tidligere kreds Tecklenburg.
