Kommunen ligger i Maintal og er omgivet af udkanten af Spessart og Odenwald. Großheubach ligger på den franken vinvandringsrute. Længere nordpå langs Main ligger den næste by Klingenberg am Main med bydelen Röllfeld. Mellem Röllfeld og Großheubach lå kirken St. Michaelis indtil 1778. Det antages, at den tilhørende bosætning senest blev opgivet i begyndelsen af 1600-tallet omkring 1630 på grund af en pestepidemi under Tredivårekrigen. På den modsatte side af Main ligger Kleinheubach. Det topografisk højeste punkt i kommunegrænsen ligger med 439 m over NHN på toppen af Ospis nordøst for byen, mens den laveste ligger i Main på 120,5 m over NHN.
