Lauchhammer er en by i den sydlige del af Brandenburg i distriktet Oberspreewald-Lausitz. Den blev grundlagt i 1950 som en stor kommune ved sammenslutningen af kommunerne Bockwitz, Lauchhammer, Mückenberg og Dolsthaida. Både selve byen og de nærliggende områder er præget af langvarig minedrift og industriaktivitet. Allerede i 1725 blev et rasenejstek produktionsanlæg baseret på trækul og tørv bygget ved Lauchteichene; denne hammer i Lauch gav byen sit nuværende navn.
Byen ligger i Nedre Lausitz. Lauchhammer ligger 45 kilometer nord for Dresden. Cottbus er omkring 50 kilometer væk, og afstanden til Sangbyen Finsterwalde er cirka 25 kilometer. Højden varierer fra 94 til 160 m over NHN.
