Landsberg am Lech er en stor købstad og administrationssædet for den navngivne kommune i regeringsområdet Oberbayern. Mellembyen ligger ved den Romantiske Vej og regnes ifølge den tyske vejrtjeneste som en af de solrigste byer i Tyskland. Landsberg har en velbevaret gammel bydel.
Mellembyen ligger cirka 55 kilometer vest for München og ca. 38 kilometer syd for Augsburg. Byen er centrum for Lechrain, grænselandskabet mellem Altbayern og Schwaben. Den ligger ved højbredden af Lech og har en velbevaret og seværdig gammel bydel.
