Hartenfels er en landsby i Westerwaldkreis i Rheinland-Pfalz. Den tilhører Selters kommune.
Hartenfels ligger ved Holzbach og cirka 4 km fra Herschbach samt 8 km fra Selters. Nabokommunerne er Herschbach og Schenkelberg mod vest, Steinen mod øst og Maxsain mod syd for kommunen. Et lille skovområde, Hartenfelser Kopf, som tilhører Hartenfels, ligger nord for byen uden for matrikelsgrænserne langs B 8 mellem Freilingen og Höchstenbach.
