Med sine botaniske haver driver Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn en
af de ældste dokumenterede og traditionsrige botaniske haver i Tyskland. Under mottoet
Udforske, Bevare, Forklare, Opleve dyrkes der ca. 11.000 plantearter på ca. 12 ha.
Anlæggene er fordelt over tre steder, hvor den historiske slotspark omkring Schloss Clemensruh i Bonn-Poppelsdorf udgør den største og mest kendte del. Derudover findes der den offentlige have til den specialiserede nytteplantesamling samt den ikke-offentlige Melbgarten på Venusberg.
