Bischoffen ligger i Niederweidbacher-bekkenet ved Aartalsperre. Med denne opstår Aar, en venstre biflod til Dill, i en 57 ha stor sø, der primært tjener til oversvømmelsessikring, men som nu også bliver brugt til fritidsaktiviteter.
Bischoffen grænser op til kommunen Bad Endbach og byen Gladenbach mod nord, til kommunen Lohra mod øst, til kommunen Biebertal mod sydøst, til kommunen Hohenahr mod syd, til kommunen Mittenaar mod sydvest samt til kommunen Siegbach mod vest.
