Muldenstein er en bydel i Muldestausee kommune i Anhalt-Bitterfeld distrikt i Sachsen-Anhalt.
Muldenstein ligger ved Mulde cirka fem kilometer nordøst for Bitterfeld. B 183 går syd for kommunen. Jernbanelinjen Berlin–Halle går gennem kommunens område. Den nærliggende A 9 kan nås via den cirka elleve kilometer fjerne tilslutning Bitterfeld. Syd for kommunen findes Muldestausee og den store Goitzschesee, to meget store søer, og mod øst er der fire mindre søer opkaldt efter farver.
