Neden for skrænten her var der i århundreder en mølledam, der blev udnyttet til driften af Rebstrup Mølle. Møllebygningen lå på ejendommen, hvor Trængstrupvej krydser ådalen. Efter ophør af mølledriften var der frem til starten af år 2000 dambrugsdrift på Rebstrup Mølle. Nu er alle anlæg nedlagt, og Tøttrup Bæk er genslynget over en del af arealet.
